The Welcome Tank

This is a 1/2 sheet painting on Arches 140 Lb. Rough watercolor paper. 

I have always loved old mines, partly because of my love of geology, and partly because I see them as physical manifestations of my own search within for meaning and the wealth that comes from digging deep into my own psyche to find my own worth.

I was attracted to this tank because of the wonderful abstract pattern of shadows leading upward to the tangle of lines in the upper right quadrant.
