'Jasper Lakeside'

I used a photo I took of one of the lakes in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada as source material. I made some changes I had been thinking about, to focus on the Weathered rocks leading to the forest crown on the spit of land in the middle ground. I wanted to convey the hush of the mountains and the quiet timelessness of the area.

½ sheet watercolor painting (20" x 27" or vice versa) on Arches 140 LB rough watercolor paper. Ships flat, not rolled with plain white mat.
