'Fenced In'

This watercolor painting depicts an old barn and a small wooden shed, enclosed by a broken-down fence. I used loose brushstrokes to suggest the tangled grasses and fallen leaves and the rough, weathered fence to lead the eye toward the buildings. The barn’s faded siding and rusted details show years of wear. I used the bare tree branches to frame the scene, adding to the late autumn or early winter feel. I wanted this to capture the charm of a place that has seen many seasons come and go. ,
