Blue Door - ¼ sheet original watercolor

'Blue Door'

This is a 1/4 sheet painting of some ancillary sheds at a farm I passed on the way to Arizona. At some point in the growth of the farm the owner had used some old discarded blue door in one of the sheds. I was taught that cool colors recede and warm colors advance. However in this instance I felt that the blue door popped out of the dark interior. 

¼ sheet watercolor painting (11" x 14" or vice versa) on Arches 140 LB rough watercolor paper. Ships flat, not rolled with plain white mat.
