'Sausalito Vintage'

Years ago I was in Sausalito, CA, and photographed this old, decrepit derelict of a houseboat. Over the years I did a number of drawings of it but never got excited about any of them until today. I did a small (2X3) quick study which eliminated 50 percent of the stuff in the photo, and suddenly I could see the painting there. It clicked!

¼ sheet watercolor painting (11" x 14" or vice versa) on Arches 140 LB rough watercolor paper. Ships flat, not rolled with plain white mat.
