'Polperro Impressions'

Instead of a rendering of a scene in Polperro, I wanted to get the impression of buildings cascading down the hiss, boats and rigging in the harbor, and the squawking of seagulls. To do that I needed a somewhat more abstract approach. This is such a fun village to paint in. I took workshops here at least 16 times over the years, and loved it every time.

¼ sheet watercolor painting (11" x 14" or vice versa) on Arches 140 LB rough watercolor paper. Ships flat, not rolled with plain white mat.
