'Zion Arpeggio'

Zion Canyon appears like a visual symphony to me. The huge rock forms provide a bass section, the vertical cracks and horizontal bands of stratification are like two countering melodies, while the trees and the diagonal talus slopes are a brass section. There are so many rhythms that the canyon makes me want to dance. This painting is a response to those rhythms. 1/4 sheet
